Boss lady! You are already rockin’ your blog and your brand, right? But are you rockin’ your social media?
Are you maximizing your marketing tools to the fullest?
There are so many options out there nowadays. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+, and the list goes on. These platforms allow entrepreneurs to have the ability to connect with their audience and drive traffic to their sites. Having so many options can get overwhelming. The key is knowing how to use them effectively.
You may be a blogger or an online business owner and use social media to help grow your business. Marketing your business doesn’t have to be overwhelming. It takes commitment and a bit of discipline anchored in passion in order to connect your followers with your brand and amplify your voice. It takes time to develop an engaged audience. Here are 5 tips to get you started on rockin’ your social media.
Be social. That is the point, right? If they comment, take the time to respond. This allows your readers and followers to feel connected to you and your brand.
Create interactive content. Post with intention of engaging your followers. Ask questions, invite them to tag other friends, take polls, etc. Being interactive creates trust and followers are more likely to share with others.
Find Balance. Don’t post too much or too little. Overdoing it can overwhelm your followers and could potentially drive people away. Not posting enough can cause your brand to get lost in the crowd. Give your followers a good balance. Pay attention to your engagement in order to find the right balance for your brand.
Connect with other influencers. Connecting with other bloggers and business owners gets your brand out in front of a new audience and could bring in new followers. When introduced to a new brand by someone they already trust, people are more likely to support that brand.
Use a social media managing site. Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Tailwind, just to name a few. Services like these allow you to schedule posts ahead of time. I find that this allows you to be more engaging with your audience because you no longer have to create posts throughout the day.
It can be difficult to develop a genuine audience. Remember to always include a link to your site and use fresh and unique photos. Be authentic and have fun with your posts. As long as you are creative, intentional, and strategic, you can build connections using social media.
