Yup, your business needs video.

I mentioned in my last post that video is hot right now. I am not a video connoisseur, but Cristin Goss is the video queen.

I recently connected with Cristin in a Facebook group and I joined her Facebook group, Video Village with gossBoss, in order to learn more about using video and overcoming my fears. I have learned so much about ways to use video for my business from Cristin and I am so glad she was able to join me on the ceoMom Talk Podcast to dive more into why video works so well for businesses.

Cristin is founder of gossBoss Marketing & Brand Strategy, focusing on video marketing. She helps other mompreneurs boost their biz using video, teaching them how to find the confidence to get on camera and create professional looking business videos. She has 11+ years of video production experience and uses this knowledge in her trainings.

She is married and has 2 sons, Everett and his four-legged brother Trigger. She spends her free time at Stroller Strides with her son and watching movies with her hubby.

Video is one of my top goals to tackle for 2017. I know that’s a BIG way to be more relatable and connect with your audience. I eventually want to do some Facebook live videos for my audience. I think I’ll start with recordings I upload to YouTube first….just so I can edit them while I’m getting more comfortable in front of the camera!

Oh I will totally listen to this on my next run! I do think businesses should utilize video but that it needs to be done in a good way otherwise viewers will be bored and click off which can ruin opportunities.

I think this is something I need to work much more diligently on. Video is so much more effective at grabbing (and holding) people’s attention – I just don’t do it near enough, yet! New goal -> increase my video content. Thank you!

This is a great help! Adding videos to my blog is something that is equal parts terrifying and anxiety riddled. I’m not even sure where to start, but I think listening to this will help! Thanks

Video is definitely one of those media outlets that I have always been afraid of. I am not gifted when it comes to that. I can put a snippet or something on Instagram but when it comes to making full video I am at a loss. I need to look more into it in the upcoming year.

I just published two videos for my blog. I used animoto and it was easy but I wonder if they are making an impact.

I love filming makeup tutorials and monthly favorites. They are so much fun to me! I enjoy sitting in front of the camera and the editing process. I also like pod casts but I don’t make any of those.
