I’m guilty of it too. Creating an epic post on Instagram and sharing it to Facebook, Twitter, and everywhere else. But honestly, that’s not all that effective.
On today’s podcast, I am sharing tips to teach you how to tailor your social media content based on each platform.
Why is this even important?
The key to reaching people and increasing your engagement on social media is to ensure that what you are posting there fits the personality of your audience and that platform.
A good example of this is the restaurant company Wendy’s. There was a time when Wendy’s was the most hilariously, savage account on Twitter.
That was fitting for Twitter, so it worked. We see their accounts in other places, and it’s always different depending on the platform being used.
Knowing what to post on each platform will greatly affect the amount of engagement you will receive. If you are too serious or too over the top, your engagement will reflect that! Make sure your content not only fits your platform but those in your target audience.
